CHEC is one of Australia's most modern and dynamic education campuses, with first-class study, recreation and leisure facilities. The NSW Department of School Education set up Coffs Harbour Senior College to offer Years 11 & 12 Senior High School study at CHEC and prepare students for the Higher School Certificate.

CHEC is located 6 hours North of Sydney on the Coffs Coast - a region of green, world heritage listed rainforests, relaxed, friendly towns, a rich history and culture, a superb string of golden surf beaches and a spectacular underwater landscape beneath the Pacific Ocean. The main regional centre is the vibrant city of Coffs Harbour.

Unlike some ESL and English language schools, at CHEC English Language Centre, we can arrange student social activities and can help you find local accommodation such as motels, guest houses, backpacker hostels, apartments/flats or home stay accommodation while you study English with us.

CHEC offers a comprehensive range of services to students including sporting clubs and on & off-campus activities, counselling and assistance with accommodation. One of Australia's most innovative and respected government universities, Southern Cross University offers a wide range of undergraduate and post-graduate courses at CHEC and at its other campuses.

The TAFE (Technical and Further Education) system is the Australian Government's most important provider of vocational education. The North Coast Institute of TAFE offers courses from Certificate to Advanced Diploma level in a wide range of fields and acts as an entry point for university study at Southern Cross University and other Australian universities.
